Just Say It

I’m working on a project that I’ve been sending out for suggestions and including everyone in the process of picking the best design. I find it interesting that nobody takes an extra second to say, “Nice work,” or “Great design.”

Instead, they will say, “I choose design one,” or, “I don’t like number three.” It would take less than a minute to add, “Thanks for doing this,” or, “These all look good. Nice job.”

One can only guess why others are quick to criticize, but slow to praise. Maybe they are too busy to take the time to say something nice. It could be that they think the person on the other end knows they are doing a good job. Who knows.

The bottom line is take a minute (or less) to show your appreciation for others efforts and achievements.
