High Five People

Jim Rohn says, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” We need to be around others who are going places, doing interesting things, and inspire us to be better. Don’t be afraid to befriend people who are smarter, more successful, funnier, more passionate, extremely talented and creative, or have more money than you–people who can make you see what’s possible and are willing to show you how to do it, too.

GROW: People Who Inspire Us Spend time with others who are positive examples and push you to try harder.
KNOW: People Who Are Like Us You can learn a lot from your peers–team up when it’s a positive partnership.
SHOW: People Who Need Us Giving back and helping others (who appreciate your time and efforts) can be a positive experience.

Make a list of the people in your life and rate them based on if they are a positive people (put a + sign next to their name) or a negative drain on you (put a – next to their name.) Do you spend more time with the positives or negatives?
